SIX MONTHS 26 inches long 18 pounds of awesome Our FEISTY little Rachey! She rolls from front to back, back to front, and scoots herself all around in her Joovy Walker. Already off of the binky and killing it with solids, this girl is moving up in the world. She loves her mommy and daddy so much and lights up whenever she catches a glimpse of her own reflection in one of our many mirrors throughout our home. Her confidence is inspiring! She so badly wants the attention of her big brother Lincoln, who is not interested one bit in being  bothered. Praying that changes one day...soon. Our sweet mermaid absolutely loves the water! Fussiness is quickly resolved during our nightly family swims or in a warm bubble bath, chewing on foam letters. We've been known to take 3 of those in a day. Especially when teething. Some nights are good. You sleep well. Some nights are not so good. And mommy is tired. But we are getting there. It's hard to believe, our 5 lb N...

We live here?

FORTY TWO

Image
Brendon surprised me on my birthday with Parasailing at Bonita Beach, just North of our home in Naples. I admit, I cried when he first told me. Like, anxiety ridden tears. I imagined free flying above the hard earth below and I like life. But after realizing we would be sailing above the Gulf of Mexico, sitting side by side, it felt a whole lot less terrifying. And you know what? It was awesome! Peacefully gliding together above the beautiful ocean below, I felt so much gratitude for this incredible place we call home.  Brendon pointed out that those who are lucky enough to go on a warm, tropical cruise, will set off on a day excursion to Parasail in a beautiful setting. And they will talk about for years to come. The trip of a lifetime! We drove less than 20 miles to experience floating a thousand feet in the air above a pristine ocean below. So far so good forty-two.

8 Weeks

Our baby girl is 8 weeks along and growing beautifully! The size of a RASPBERRY, she is already kicking and punching and squirming around, although it will be 2 months before I will feel her movements. Oh my goodness, how I so love feeling those movements!  I am sicker than sick. Exhausted beyond belief. And taking it easy, thanks to a small bit of bleeding along the lining of my uterus, which is healing, thank goodness.  I am so thankful for every day that our little peanut continues to thrive and grow. I am doing all that I can to provide a calm, healthy, and positive environment for her. And I can hardly wait to hold her in my arms!

Bryce Canyon

The last time I was in Bryce Canyon, I was in my first trimester with my first babe, Preston. That was over 20 years ago! I remember being so very nauseated and this time was no different. Seven weeks along with baby number 6, the morning sickness and pregnancy exhaustion is very real! Give me only bland foods, please. The less flavor, the better. :)   After my ultrasound last Thursday revealed a small spot in the lining of my uterus that is bleeding, I was told to take it super easy this week to let it heal. Hiking was out of the question! Thankfully breathtaking views were accessible in a short walk from the parking lot at Sunrise Point and Sunset Point. I mean, look at that view! Lincoln is such a great little traveler. He was only a month old on his first trip which included a plane ride and visit to Disneyland for Kate's cheer competition. He loves seeing the world and exploring new territory. He has been incredibly adaptable, too. Plus, he's so happy w...

40th Surprise Birthday Party

Image
Brendon told me we were going on a date. Dinner and a comedy show. He really wanted me to get all dolled up, even buying me a beautiful, new dress. I didn't suspect anything. Our nanny was out of town so Taetum was going to watch Lincoln. She wouldn't be able to get to our house on time, so Tyler came over to watch him for a bit before Taetum could get there. This confused me, but Brendon insisted everything would be fine. Kate was home with Lincoln and could help Tyler. Uneasy, but still, suspected nothing. Brendon had been talking about planning the company Christmas Party for the past week and was considering holding it at Rice Eccles Stadium. He had an appointment to meet with someone about it, so we were going to stop off there before heading to dinner. He is always planning things long in advance so again, this didn't seems especially abnormal to me. Sweet, naive me.  When we got to the stadium, we met a woman who took us up the elevator to The Tower. As we walked ...
