On A Boat in 46 Degrees

Image
The day after Christmas and I think this was the COLDEST day I have experienced here in Naples since our move over a year ago. Fortunately, it is quite rare for the temps in South West Florida to dip so low and then they have a way of bouncing back up to warmer temps rather quickly. We just happened to have a boat reserved when it was an abnormally chilly day. Lincoln was in HEAVEN. Just glowing. Smiling. Taking it all in. Rach was not. She hates the huge life vest and can't really toddle around yet, so she was just frustrated. And did I mention it was cold? These babies of ours really are FLORIDA BABIES! In fairness, so am I! We turned around after going under the Tamiami bridge just passed Bayfront, keeping our excursion to under an hour. But so worth it. Anytime we can get outdoors, take in the fresh air, nature, the water...this amazing place we live. It's all so good for the soul. No regrets.
